Clinical Nurse Educator (RN) Deaconess Illinois Medical Center Compensation: $31.25 - $46.88/hour Help Shape the Next Generation of Nurses Are you passionate about education, mentoring, and developing clinical excellence? Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Education
  • Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of two years of recent clinical nursing experience
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Previous nursing education or staff development experience
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire
  • American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of hire

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver educational programs, orientation, and ongoing staff development.
  • Assess learning needs and create educational opportunities that support clinical excellence.
  • Develop and present in-services, continuing education, and competency-based training.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff across the organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership, departments, and schools of nursing to support professional development.
  • Promote evidence-based practice and assist with implementing best practices.
  • Participate in developing and updating nursing policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
  • Function as a change agent by supporting quality improvement initiatives and practice advancements.
  • Provide limited direct patient care to maintain outpatient and perioperative clinical competencies.
