About The Position

HCT seeks an experienced nursing professional to serve as the interim Clinical Nurse Educator for Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units. This role supports a large healthcare facility in California, including a 24-bed intensive care unit, a 51-room birthing center, a 12-bed neonatal intensive care unit, and a 60-bay emergency department. The schedule is typically 08:00 AM to 16:30 PM, with potential variations based on program needs. The position is responsible for developing and executing clinical education and training programs to ensure the learning and developmental needs of clinical staff are met, and for designing, implementing, and evaluating strategies to maintain the clinical competency of care providers. Knowledge of adult learning principles is essential, as are excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and group facilitation abilities. A comprehensive understanding of the California Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, Title 22, QA, and BRN regulations is required.

Requirements

• BSN required
• Minimum of 2 years of L&D and Postpartum clinical educator experience
• Active California RN license required
• BLS through the American Heart Association
• EMR experience (EPIC preferred)
• Microsoft Office suite (e.g., MS Word, MS PowerPoint, etc.)

Nice To Haves

• MSN preferred
• RN with at least 5-10 years of RN experience
• At least 3 years as an RN and 2 years as educator
• RNC-OB, RNC-MNN, or C-EFM certifications
