About The Position

This role focuses on supporting providers and clinical operations within the hospital. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will be responsible for managing provider schedules, coordinating nursing staff assignments, and ensuring all necessary documentation and compliance requirements are met. A significant portion of the role involves administrative tasks related to provider support and operational efficiency, with a smaller component dedicated to direct clinical support and quality initiatives.

Requirements

  • Current licenses and/or certifications required for the position.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, DIA, DNV, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.
  • Knowledge of hospital and department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs regarding fraud, waste and abuse.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain provider schedules, factoring in time-off requests, meetings, and clinic needs.
  • Ensure provider schedules are optimized to prevent conflicts.
  • Coordinate nursing staff assignments to appropriate nurse coverage.
  • Track and manage PTO requests, CME requests, education, licensure tracking, and licensure requirements.
  • Assist in addressing staffing shortages.
  • Maintain accurate schedules, absences, tardiness, and attendance; and timecard verification.
  • Collaborate with Credentialing Specialist and Payor Enrollment teams for new provider onboarding.
  • Review timecards for RHC staff.
  • Run and analyze clinic data reports to support workflow, quality improvement, and operational decisions.
  • Assist with quality initiatives, chart audits, and process improvement projects.
  • Track and reconcile provider-related expenses.
  • Answer patient calls and triage as appropriate.
  • Room patients and assist with basic nursing duties when necessary.
