Requirements
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Indiana or active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
- Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two (2) years of acute care experience; such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)
- Additional advanced life support certifications may be required based on unit or department specialty

- Participates in clinical decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve desired outcomes, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Management of IV medications
- Hemodynamic monitoring and response
- Pulmonary adjunct management
- Cath/EP lab-specific technology
- Maintenance of sterile and aseptic environment
- Interdisciplinary communication
- Critical thinking in high-acuity situations
- One-to-one patient care
- BLS and ACLS utilization
