About The Position
Promotes transition from student to beginning practitioner role through intensive practice in a selected practice area of interest to the student. This is the final clinical course emphasizing integration and synthesis of previously acquired knowledge and skill, and application of theory and research to nursing practice. Experience developing learning contracts is required, along with demonstrated conflict resolution and oral/written communication skills.
Requirements
- B.Sc.N. with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal relationships.
- Ease in adapting to the work schedules of the student and their preceptor.
- Current registration as RN or NP in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a clinical instructor preferred.
