About The Position

Connecticut Orthopaedics is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant. This position provides direct support to the physician and clinical teams in a given location. Responsibilities include but are not limited to casting, dressing application and removal, DME, rooming patients, patient intake, exam room stocking and cleaning and scheduling.

Requirements

• Certified as a Medical Assistant
• High school Diploma or equivalent (GED) required

Nice To Haves

• 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
• Experience in an Orthopaedic practice preferred

Responsibilities

• Cast application and removal.
• Applying and removing wound dressings based on provider preferences.
• Participating in staple and suture removal
• Fitting patients with durable medical equipment and braces appropriately and completing billing paperwork accurately
• Rooming patients and completing appropriate intake documentation
• Drawing up and setting up injections/ultrasound per provider's protocol
• Maintaining a clean and stocked exam room.
• Entering orders for x-ray
• Assisting with appointment scheduling for follow up appointments.
• Assisting with clinical workflow throughout the clinics
