Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • Medical Assistant certification
  • Must be dependable and punctual
  • Must be organized and have ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Must be able to work under pressure and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Comprehension of medical terminology
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Competency in oral and written skills
  • Flexibility in varying shift (8hr shifts ranging from 6am start to 5:30pm close)
  • Team Player

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one (1) year Medical Assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist RN's in admitting patients in pre-operative area
  • Provide assistance with continuous patient flow
  • Monitor par levels and supply the pre-operative areas for patient OR attire, extra linens, and other medical supplies (Glucometer test strips, needles, IV fluids...etc.).
  • Assist RN with recording vital signs, dressing patient, providing nourishment, and assist with ambulation.
  • Assist with patient transport via wheelchair upon discharge from PACU
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA policies
  • Willingly perform other duties as directed by Assistant Clinical Director to accommodate department's needs.
