Requirements

High school graduate
Medical Assistant certification
Must be dependable and punctual
Must be organized and have ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner
Must be able to work under pressure and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Comprehension of medical terminology
Excellent communication skills
Competency in oral and written skills
Flexibility in varying shift (8hr shifts ranging from 6am start to 5:30pm close)

Nice To Haves

Minimum one (1) year Medical Assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

Assist RN's in admitting patients in pre-operative area
Provide assistance with continuous patient flow
Monitor par levels and supply the pre-operative areas for patient OR attire, extra linens, and other medical supplies (Glucometer test strips, needles, IV fluids...etc.).
Assist RN with recording vital signs, dressing patient, providing nourishment, and assist with ambulation.
Assist with patient transport via wheelchair upon discharge from PACU
Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA policies
Willingly perform other duties as directed by Assistant Clinical Director to accommodate department's needs.
