About The Position

AICA Orthopedics is hiring a Medical Assistant for a single clinic location in metro Atlanta. This is a full-time, hourly position with bonus potential, offering medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as X-ray training and career growth opportunities. The role involves working with personal injury and orthopedic patients in a high-volume, acute care setting, alongside orthopedic physicians, PAs, and nurse practitioners. X-ray certification is a plus and training is provided. The ideal candidate is a certified or training MA who is organized, accurate, and takes documentation seriously, understanding its impact on patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Military Medical Specialist.
• CMA, RMA, or equivalent — or actively working toward it.
• EHR proficiency; NextGen preferred.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, bend and stoop regularly.

Nice To Haves

• X-ray or ARRT certification.
• 2+ years MA experience in a clinical setting.
• Orthopedic, multi-specialty, or personal injury experience.
• Bilingual English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain histories, and record vital signs.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist with procedures.
• Administer injections and prepare medications per provider orders.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and post-visit instructions.
• Perform X-rays (training provided).
• Fit patients for DME and provide usage instruction.
• Manage medication inventory and comply with pharmacy procedures.
• Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant records in NextGen EHR.
• Ensure clinical areas are stocked and organized.
