About The Position

AICA Orthopedics is hiring a Medical Assistant for a single clinic location in metro Atlanta. This role involves working with personal injury and orthopedic patients in a high-volume setting, focusing on acute needs rather than routine check-ups. The Medical Assistant will work alongside orthopedic physicians, PAs, and nurse practitioners. X-ray certification is a plus and leads to higher pay, with training provided if needed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Military Medical Specialist
• CMA, RMA, or equivalent — or actively working toward it
• EHR proficiency; NextGen preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, bend and stoop regularly

Nice To Haves

• X-ray or ARRT certification
• 2+ years MA experience in a clinical setting
• Orthopedic, multi-specialty, or personal injury experience
• Bilingual English and Spanish

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain histories, record vital signs
• Prepare patients for exams and assist with procedures
• Administer injections and prepare medications per provider orders
• Educate patients on treatment plans and post-visit instructions
• Perform X-rays
• Fit patients for DME and provide usage instruction
• Manage medication inventory and comply with pharmacy procedures
• Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant records in NextGen EHR
• Ensure clinical areas are stocked and organized
