About The Position
CALRegional is seeking a part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Skills Assistant to supplement income and make an impact on aspiring healthcare professionals. This role involves assisting students in a 8-10 week program, focusing on skill development and learning outcomes. No prior teaching experience is required, but a passion for healthcare education and mentoring students is essential. The position is located in Salinas, CA, with specific availability required on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field required.
- Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math.
- Front office experience.
- Back office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, and bandaging experience.
- Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
- Ability to mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards.
- Comfortable with computers and technology.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities
- Aid student learning through exemplary instruction by following an established course outline.
- Aid in student learning outcomes.
- Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/learning strategies.
- Maintain appropriate standards of professionalism and conduct.
- Aid all required skill labs with the Lead instructor.
