About The Position

Aliso Dermatology is a new and growing dermatology clinic dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and building strong connections with our community. We're hiring motivated, adaptable, and resourceful Medical Assistants for two roles — Front Desk and Back Desk (Clinical) — to support both the administrative and clinical sides of the practice. Candidates may be considered for either role, or a hybrid position depending on experience and clinic needs. Front Desk Medical Assistant Focus: patient-facing administrative coordination and the flow of the front office. Reception & Check-In/Out: Welcome patients, manage the schedule, handle check-in and check-out, and answer phones. Insurance & Registration: Verify eligibility and benefits, collect registration information, process copays, and manage card-on-file and balance questions. Records & Referrals: Handle medical records requests, coordinate incoming and outgoing referrals, and keep patient information accurate and organized. Communication: Send appointment reminders, follow-up messages, and patient-facing notices. Social Media & Outreach: Support the clinic's digital presence by posting updates, sharing community events, and helping with marketing efforts. Back Desk (Clinical) Medical Assistant Focus: clinical support, patient flow, and provider assistance in the exam rooms. Patient Rooming & Flow: Room patients, take vitals and histories, prepare and turn over exam rooms, and keep the clinical day moving on schedule. Procedure Support: Assist the provider during exams and procedures (biopsies, excisions, injections, cryotherapy), set up and break down trays, and maintain a clean, stocked clinical environment. Medication Coordination: Support prescriptions, pharmacy communications, and prior authorization processes. Specimens & Documentation: Label and log specimens, complete pathology paperwork, and document clinical information in the EMR. Supplies & Compliance: Track and restock clinical supplies, and help maintain infection-control and safety standards.
