About The Position

AICA Orthopedics is hiring a Float Medical Assistant across a zone of 2–4 metro Atlanta clinics. This role involves providing care for personal injury and orthopedic patients in a high-volume setting, working alongside orthopedic physicians, PAs, and nurse practitioners. The Medical Assistant will adapt across 2–4 assigned locations based on daily clinic needs, maintaining the same clinical standard at every site. A certified MA, or an MA training toward certification, who adapts quickly and performs to standard regardless of setting is ideal. This role is suitable for those who find covering multiple locations manageable rather than disruptive.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Military Medical Specialist
CMA, RMA, or equivalent — or actively working toward it
EHR proficiency; NextGen preferred
Reliable transportation — gas reimbursed for zone travel
Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, bend and stoop regularly

Nice To Haves

X-ray or ARRT certification — top-of-range pay consideration
2+ years MA experience in a clinical setting
Orthopedic, multi-specialty, or personal injury experience
Bilingual English and Spanish

Responsibilities

Room patients, obtain histories, record vital signs
Prepare patients for exams and assist with procedures
Administer injections and prepare medications per provider orders
Educate patients on treatment plans and post-visit instructions
Perform X-rays
Fit patients for DME and provide usage instruction
Manage medication inventory and comply with pharmacy procedures
Ensure accurate, HIPAA-compliant records in NextGen EHR are completed before end of shift
Keep clinical areas stocked and organized
