About The Position

The Clinical Manager will provide programmatic leadership of the clinical component in the assigned areas to ensure quality patient care outcomes. The Manager will develop and implement goals, standards, policies, educational programs, procedures and practices in alignment with the strategic plan. Situations that affect daily operations will be monitored and appropriate actions taken. The Clinical Manager will participate in the development, coaching, motivation and evaluation of department personnel. Consistent communication will occur through facilitation of staff meetings, leadership team meetings and/or staff retreats. Interdisciplinary teamwork will be fostered. The employee's understanding of job requirements will be facilitated. Staff competence will be ensured through appropriate training and development. The Manager will consistently maintain positive relationships among all members of the team. There will be two open positions. One of the Supervisory positions will support the Scioto/Lawrence Counties team. Travel will be required.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work
  • 3+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
  • Ohio LISW-S license

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development, coaching, motivation and evaluation of department personnel.

  • Participate in the development of corrective action plans to guide needed and sustainable improvements.
  • Provide project leadership, and/or hands-on support for implementation of operational dashboards that allow the area AVP to monitor progress and insure gains are attained and sustained.
  • Ensure that compliance and readiness plans are current.
  • Work with department leaders of Center for Professional Excellence (CPE) and Accreditation Services to improve staff competency, compliance and documentation.
  • Enhance relationships to promote interdisciplinary involvement and knowledge of compliance standards, status, and actions.
  • Track laws, regulations and standards that may affect practice and policies.
  • Work with direct reports to insure that needed changes are made by the effective date of any change(s) in requirements.
  • Participate in the development and monitoring of an effective staffing and retention strategy, including hiring and terminating employees.
  • Partner with department leadership to ensure effective performance management of direct reports.
  • Establish and maintain procedures for orientation of new employees.
  • Mentor and provide learning and development opportunities for direct reports.
  • Collaborate with human resources business partners department leadership to meet the division's talent management goals.
  • Support organizational programs/plans that impact employees and ensure communication, comprehension, and adherence to all Human Resources policies and related legal and/or compliance requirements.
  • Provide leadership for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with organizational strategy, commitments and goals.
  • May manage the project budget.
  • Develop project plans resource allocation, and timeline.
  • Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
  • May direct assigned project team ensuring effective utilization of resources.
  • Report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
  • Provide detailed organizational communication plans when clinical operations are impacted.
  • Provide leadership on initiatives, projects or programs.
  • Collaborate with appropriate parties to plan, implement, and/or evaluate services.
  • May manage personnel related to specific projects.
  • Manage staff providing services to a defined patient population.
