Clinical Manager (RN), Acute Rehab Unit

This Full-Time position is responsible for supporting the Nurse Director in the safe and effective provision of care for the Acute Rehab Unit, maintaining both management and clinical nurse roles. The Clinical Manager assists with the day-to-day operations of the Acute Rehab Unit, oversees scheduling, staff orientation and training, and interviewing/hiring. They also monitor daily staffing to ensure productivity and provide staff support.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Leadership skills
- Organization skills
- Fiscal stewardship
- Knowledge of critical care practices
- Ability to act as a mentor, coach and develop others, and act as a role model.
- Attentive to details.
- Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Texas
- BLS
- ACLS
- At least one year clinical experience as a charge nurse or at least one year clinical experience and experience in other leadership role.
Nice To Haves
- Master of Science in Nursing with advanced certification
- Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN)
- 3-5 years as charge nurse or other leadership experience
- Experience on an Acute Rehab Unit
Responsibilities
- Support the Nurse Director in the safe and effective provision of care for the Acute Rehab Unit.
- Maintain both management and clinical nurse roles in the department.
- Serve as director in director’s absence.
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Acute Rehab Unit.
- Oversee the scheduling process to ensure adequate coverage of the unit.
- Assist with orientation and training of staff.
- Assist with interviewing and hiring of new staff.
- Monitor daily staffing to ensure productivity standards are met.
- Provide support to the staff as needed.
