Clinical Liaison (CL) PRN
About The Position
The Clinical Liaison (CL) plays a vital role in building and maintaining referral relationships to ensure appropriate admissions to the hospital. This position involves assisting with the intake and pre-admission screening process, performing clinical judgments on-site to assess patient suitability for admission, and communicating rehabilitation options and expectations to patients and their families. The CL also secures information regarding patient resources and benefits and serves as the initial point of contact for external case management and discharge planning personnel with payors and hospital facilities.
Requirements
- Clinical Licensure as an RN, LVN, PT, PTA, OT, COTA, SLP, RT or MSW
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid driver's license
Nice To Haves
- Previous marketing/sales experience preferred
- Previous clinical experience preferred, with demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and EMR systems
- Formal Sales Training preferred
- Availability to work some weekends and cover others' PTO
Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains referral relationships to drive appropriate admissions to the hospital
- Assist and coordinate in-take and pre-admission screening process
- Perform on-site (typically in referring facility) clinical judgment to determine appropriateness of patient for admission
- Communicates to patients and family's rehabilitation and facility options.
- Communicates to patients determined appropriate for admission the patient's expectations and requirements for participation
- Secures information relating to patients' resources and benefits
- Functions as initial contact for external case management and discharge planner personnel with payors and hospital facilities
