Clinical Liaison (CL)
About The Position
The Clinical Liaison (CL) at Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Worth plays a vital role in driving appropriate admissions to the hospital by building and maintaining referral relationships. This position involves assisting with the intake and pre-admission screening process, performing on-site clinical judgments to determine patient appropriateness for admission, and communicating rehabilitation and facility options to patients and their families. The CL also informs patients about expectations and requirements for participation, and secures information regarding patients' resources and benefits. Additionally, this role serves as the initial point of contact for external case management and discharge planner personnel with payors and hospital facilities.
Requirements
- Clinical Licensure as an RN, LVN, PT, PTA, OT, COTA, SLP, RT or MSW
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid driver's license
Nice To Haves
- Previous marketing/sales experience preferred
- Previous clinical experience preferred, with demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and EMR systems
- Formal Sales Training preferred
Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains referral relationships to drive appropriate admissions to the hospital
- Assist and coordinate in-take and pre-admission screening process
- Perform on-site (typically in referring facility) clinical judgment to determine appropriateness of patient for admission
- Communicates to patients and family's rehabilitation and facility options.
- Communicates to patients determined appropriate for admission the patient's expectations and requirements for participation
- Secures information relating to patients' resources and benefits
- Functions as initial contact for external case management and discharge planner personnel with payors and hospital facilities
