Mercy Health Rehabilitation Hospital, Youngstown, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and Mercy Health, is seeking a Clinical Liaison (CL) for their Inpatient Rehabilitation unit. Requirements

• Clinical Licensure (RN, PT, OT, SLP, LSW)
• Bachelor’s degree
• Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

• Previous marketing/sales experience
• Previous clinical experience with demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and EMR systems
• Formal Sales Training

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate in-take and pre-admission screening process.
• Perform on-site (typically in referring facility) clinical judgment to determine appropriateness of patient for admission.
• Communicate rehabilitation and facility options to patients and families.
• Communicate patient expectations and requirements for participation to patients determined appropriate for admission.
• Secure information relating to patients’ resources and benefits.
• Function as the initial contact for external case management and discharge planner personnel with payors and hospital facilities.
