The Lead Scheduler possesses broad knowledge of, and serves as a subject matter expert for, various patient scheduling modalities and is a subject matter expert in at least three areas beyond medical oncology scheduling (surgery, IR, SCTU, GI, urology, radiation, etc.). In addition to performing scheduling duties, the Lead Scheduler partners with department leadership to effectively oversee day-to-day operations and is responsible for assisting with implementing Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), Stakeholder competencies, training, staffing, process improvements, issue resolution, and maintaining department productivity metrics.
