About The Position

We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the specialty, specifically in a CORE Lab setting with a focus on Hematology. The ideal candidate will have experience with Sysmex and CellaVision systems and be proficient in performing accurate differentials, especially on complex samples like turbid specimens and platelet clumps. Experience in a large hospital laboratory (600+ beds) is preferred due to the high workload and pace. Familiarity with managing abnormal cell findings and working with samples from large neonatal units is also important. This role requires ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification and proficiency in Cerner. The facility will only consider candidates with a Medical Laboratory Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist background; Medical Laboratory Technicians will not be considered.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Clinical Laboratory specialty.
• CORE Lab experience, particularly in Hematology.
• Experience with Sysmex and CellaVision systems.
• Proficiency in performing differentials.
• Experience in a large hospital laboratory (600+ beds) is preferred.
• Familiarity with managing complex samples (turbid specimens, platelet clumps, abnormal cell findings).
• Experience with samples from large neonatal units.
• ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification.
• Cerner Experience.
• Must be a Med Lab Technologist or Med Lab Scientist. Med Lab Technician will NOT be considered.
