The Clinical Laboratory Assistant performs minor laboratory procedures accurately, precisely, and efficiently under minimal supervision, including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, and immunology. They also perform phlebotomy through venous and capillary puncture, receive and collect urine specimens, and perform specimen preparation for all procedures/tests. The role involves maintaining supplies inventory, reporting in-house test results and abnormal findings, and complying with all policies and OSHA regulations related to safety, cleanliness, and infection control. This position works in a fast-paced clinical environment with exposure to biohazardous materials, chemical, fire, and mechanical hazards, as well as communicable diseases and sharp instruments. Duties may involve standing, walking, stretching, stooping, bending, and lifting light to moderately heavy loads. The ideal candidate would have 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
