About The Position

The Clinical Lab Scientist Lead provides technical leadership and expertise in a high-paced, high-volume community-focused laboratory. The role supports quality control, calibration functions, and correlations; coordinates and monitors departmental work; ensures staff competencies and training are completed; performs inventory control; completes testing within established time frames; and identifies and addresses departmental issues. Under the direction of a manager or supervisor, the lead also works on special projects. The laboratory offers state-of-the-art equipment, opportunities for advancement, and educational opportunities.

Requirements

• Associate's degree with MLT (ASCP/AMT), HT (ASCP/AMT), or equivalent education and clinical laboratory experience; alternatively, a bachelor's degree from a four-year MT or HTL program approved by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or equivalent or eligible.
• Must meet the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988.
• Three years of experience as MT/MLS/CLS/HTL, or five years as MLT/HT; equivalent combinations of education and experience may meet these requirements.
• Registered or eligible for registry as MLT or HT, or MT (ASCP/AMT), or HTL (ASCP/AMT), or equivalent.
