About The Position

The Clinical Lab Scientist 4 works in the Blood Bank within a growing, team-oriented, community-focused, high-paced, high-volume laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. The role maintains instrumentation and the work area, performs quality control and calibration functions, provides training and assesses competencies, completes testing within established time frames, and recognizes and addresses departmental issues. The laboratory offers opportunities for advancement and professional growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and Medical Technology (MT) certification with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent.
• Must meet the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988.
• Four years of laboratory experience as an MLT/HT (internal CLS2), or two years of laboratory experience as an MT/HTL (internal CLS3); equivalent combinations of education and experience may satisfy these requirements.
• Registered with ASCP (or eligible for registry) as a Medical Technologist or equivalent.

Responsibilities
