About The Position

This role involves assisting in the deployment and maintenance of applications, particularly within the EHR system. The Clinical IT Analyst will work closely with other analysts and end-users to ensure project timelines are met, business rules and workflows are understood, and application issues are resolved. Responsibilities include supporting application updates, enhancements, testing, documentation, and training. The role also involves supporting business and other applications, handling user inquiries, performing audits, and maintaining application integrity. Additionally, the analyst will participate in IT team meetings, strategic planning, and committees, and perform other IT duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Nursing or equivalent healthcare degree.
1-3 years’ experience in healthcare applications is preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Working knowledge of reporting tools, i.e. Crystal.

Responsibilities

Assist in the deployment of applications and their components.
Assist other clinical analysts in maintaining project timelines in EHR deployments and other applications.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of business rules and organizational workflows in administrative and clinical areas.
Maintain a thorough understanding of assigned applications used in departmental areas.
Assist other clinical business analysts in implementing new updates and releases, and work with end-users in analyzing and resolving issues during new implementations.
Assist in creating and implementing communication plans related to application maintenance, changes, and enhancements.
Assist in enterprise applications maintenance and enhancements.
Participate and maintain a working relationship with different focus groups.
Participate in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of future releases and updates.
Assist in coordinating upgrades to EHR, EHR components, and non-EHR applications.
Collect and evaluate new requests related to application enhancements, working closely with programmers, software architects, and business analysts.
Create tickets or work items based on analysis for development.
Test new developments and communicate testing results to technical and analyst teams.
Proactively read, create, maintain, and follow application documentation.
Coordinate application trainings.
Assist in the creation of training tools.
Assist in training end-users on updates and enhancements.
Assist in EHR training to support core application functionality.
Establish schedules and designate facility areas for training.
Support business and other applications.
Answer tier 1 and tier 2 phone calls, emails, or inquiries with proper support documentation.
Perform scheduled and ad hoc audits to monitor compliance.
Maintain and monitor applications, integrations, and interfaces.
Assist in keeping application integrity and policies related to new enhancement changes.
Assist in the development of new documentation related to user support.
Test and document compliance related to MIS policy and procedure.
Assist in system evaluations with other IT staff.
Participate in IT team meetings and initiatives.
Participate in the strategic planning process for IT.
Participate on and chair committees to support standards and accreditations.
Assist in providing training when deemed necessary.
Participate in Orientation Training for IT.
Provide application training when deemed necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Actively participate in Performance Improvement activities.
Actively participate in AltaPointe committees as requested.
