About The Position

This role is responsible for managing and optimizing clinical inventory, ensuring the accurate tracking, redistribution, and reporting of essential respiratory equipment. The position involves direct patient care responsibilities for a caseload of ventilator patients, requiring setup, follow-ups, supply ordering, and on-call emergency support. The Clinical Inventory Analyst will also collaborate closely with clinical teams, inventory staff, and management to resolve equipment issues, improve processes, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license in the state(s) of practice.
  • Experience in respiratory therapy, home medical equipment (HME), or inventory management in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with respiratory equipment (ventilators, oxygen concentrators), patient compliance monitoring, and insurance billing processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as Tableau, Bonafide systems, Excel, and reporting dashboards.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities; able to prioritize under pressure and manage time-sensitive tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams, email communication, and inventory tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of common respiratory conditions, equipment function/calibration, and basic health insurance guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with clinical staff, drivers, management, and patients/families.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in data reconciliation and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the Bonafide serialized equipment order dashboard for real-time accuracy.
  • Compare dashboard data with Tableau reports to identify equipment needs and discrepancies.
  • Contact Respiratory Therapists (RTs) with pending orders who have excess serialized inventory to facilitate redistribution.
  • Monitor the REC Manifest for delayed shipments, follow up with RTs and O2 drivers, track deliveries, and resolve missing/delayed equipment issues.
  • Receive and process returned serialized equipment still attached to patients in Bonafide, verifying status/ownership and coordinating transfers.
  • Identify high-demand areas for serialized equipment, locate excess inventory, coordinate shipments, and track shipping details.
  • Assist team members in locating serialized equipment in the field for redistribution.
  • Build and distribute daily Vent and Oxygen summary reports, highlighting on-hand availability and deployable units.
  • Prepare and email daily back-order reports to clinical teams.
  • Develop and distribute weekly excessive oxygen and ventilator reports, verifying inventory and managing follow-up communications.
  • Reconcile daily REC vents/oxygen receipts against field pickup reports.
  • Track and report field equipment issues to upper management.
  • Provide full in-home Respiratory Therapy services to an assigned caseload, including setup, follow-ups, supply ordering, compliance monitoring, and after-hours on-call support.
  • Attend daily inventory team meetings and weekly meetings with inventory team and clinical directors.
  • Respond to Teams chats and inquiries from clinical managers, RTs, and drivers.
  • Process inventory ticketing system assignments, including label creation, pickup scheduling, and ticket resolution.
  • Participate in new hire training meetings and support RT training program improvements related to inventory processes.
  • Maintain active Respiratory Therapist licensure in required states, including completion of continuing education units (CEUs).
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including ad-hoc equipment troubleshooting support and contributions to regulatory compliance.

  • Complete annual education/in-service requirements and stay current in respiratory therapy and inventory management practices.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.
  • Exhibit effective written and verbal communication skills and build strong working relationships.
