About The Position

Sandstone Care is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals currently enrolled in a master’s program in counseling or social work to join their team as a Clinical Intern. This is an unpaid internship opportunity where interns will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, supportive environment, specializing in helping adolescents and young adults overcome substance use, mental health, and mood disorders. The program is committed to treating the whole person, supporting clients and their families, and helping them build healthy communities for sustained recovery. Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a master’s in counseling or social work program seeking a clinical internship.
• Availability to commit 15-20 hours per week, including at least one evening per week.
• A desire to contribute to a supportive, client-centered treatment environment.
• Professionalism and self-awareness
• Strong communication skills
• Dedication to ethical practice and supervision
• Passion for therapeutic work

Responsibilities

• Supporting clients' recovery journey
• Contributing to treatment goals
• Facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions
• Commitment to excellence in clinical documentation, paperwork, and billing responsibilities
• Meeting required timelines for documentation
• Coordinating care with clients, their families, and other providers
• Working under direct supervision
• Adhering to ethical standards
