Clinical Intake Coordinator- CSAC
About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Clinical Intake Coordinator for its new inpatient extended-care rehabilitation facility in Norfolk, Virginia. The position requires a CSAC or CSAC-S and coordinates admission activities with the admissions call center and facility staff. The coordinator helps arrange schedules, transportation, and other details for transitions into treatment; works with the Utilization Review team on referrals and authorizations; and collaborates with the Case Manager on special insurance needs and aftercare planning. The role also involves building rapport with clients and communicating information about the program and its services to people considering treatment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CSAC or CSAC-S required by the job overview; the qualifications section lists this credential as preferred.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills.
- Keen judgment and acute observational skills.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience in the treatment industry preferred.
- CSAC or CSAC-S preferred in the qualifications section.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the admissions call center team and facility staff to facilitate smooth, timely admissions.
- Help arrange scheduling, transportation, and other details needed for efficient transitions into treatment.
- Collaborate with the Utilization Review team to secure referrals and authorizations before admission.
- Collaborate with the Case Manager on special insurance needs, including FMLA and COBRA, and on creating aftercare plans.
- Build warm, trusting rapport with clients to promote confidence in and commitment to treatment.
- Communicate program features, services, and requested information to people interested in treatment.
