About The Position

Emory Healthcare is hiring Clinical Instructors for its Internal Travel Team, a flexible nursing program intended to help team members tailor work/life balance to their lifestyles. Specialty needs include Acute Care, Emergency Department, and Intensive Care Unit. The hiring event includes one-on-one interviews with hiring managers, information about the Internal Travel Team, and same-day or expedited hiring decisions for qualified candidates. Within twelve months of hire or placement, the instructor must obtain and maintain a specialty certification from the department's current Approved Certification List. The list is established by the department and may vary by specialty; other certifications count only if reviewed and approved by department leadership. Failure to meet this certification requirement may result in further action under department and organizational guidelines. The role may involve physical demands such as lifting up to 75 pounds, carrying objects up to 35 pounds, standing and walking, and close eye work. Environmental exposures may include blood-borne pathogens, bio-hazardous waste, chemicals, communicable diseases, electrical shock, varied floor surfaces and temperatures, latex, radiation, patient-care or handling injuries, and use of personal protective equipment including respirators. Conditions and demands may vary by assigned work area and tasks; travel may be required.
