About The Position

This role is remote, however the candidate needs to be in a footprint state (AK, WA, MT, OR, CA, TX) not further than 2 hours from a Providence location. The Virtual Clinical Informatics team supports all Providence clinicians and caregivers in their utilization of Epic, this support is provided remotely 24/7. Given the nature of 24/7 support it is crucial that candidates for this role be available to work the following schedule: Wednesday-Saturday from 11am - 9:30pm PDT. The Clinical Informatics Specialist (CIS) serves as a professional role model in promoting the understanding, integration, and effective use of information technology in healthcare settings. The CIS acts as a liaison between clinical practice and Information Services, supporting clinical and interprofessional caregivers throughout the care continuum in the implementation, learning, use, adoption, and optimization of clinical technologies. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Clinical discipline, Information Technology/Informatics, Business, Education, Management, Communications, or related field Or equivalent educ/experience
  • 2 years In a position that has the same or similar primary duties working with a clinical information system within a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with EHR systems.
  • Experience with benefits and challenges of adult learning.

Nice To Haves

  • Upon hire: Informatics certifications or credentialing (may be equivalent for up to 2 years of experience for this position at the hiring manger’s discretion)
