The Department of Culture, Society and Justice at the University of Idaho is seeking a Clinical Assistant Professor of Criminology. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position beginning January 2027. The role will primarily focus on delivering online courses for the University of Idaho, with an expectation to teach one course per semester on the College of Southern Idaho campus in Twin Falls. While all areas of specialization are welcome, the department is particularly interested in candidates whose expertise complements existing course offerings and departmental strengths. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching core service courses within the Master of Sciences degree in criminology and the undergraduate criminology program. These courses may include Introduction to Criminology, Justice Institutions, Criminological Theory, Research Methods in Criminology, and Justice Policy Issues. Faculty are also encouraged to teach in their specialty areas, supervise internships, and mentor/advise both undergraduate and graduate students. The standard teaching load is 3/4, equating to seven classes per academic year.
