About The Position

Sentara Therapy Center Greenbrier is hiring a Clinical Exercise Specialist Full Time. The Clinical Exercise Specialist administers therapy treatments under the direct supervision of licensed leaders. They provide quality exercise and health education for patients, ensuring a safe, pleasant, and professional atmosphere. The role requires productivity and efficiency in daily operations. The specialist establishes and updates exercise programs to address client/participant needs, supervises and assists clients/participants with their daily exercise sessions, and ensures client/participant safety. They provide effective instruction to clients/participants and their families through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training, support the health education needs of the center, and assist Therapists/Providers in delivering effective treatment plans. Documentation of patient response to treatment is also a key responsibility, along with completing other clinical duties as assigned and demonstrating the ability to offer support and potential enhancements of services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Health Science, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Recreational Therapy, Physical Education, or Clinical Exercise Physiology.
  • 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
