Clinical Equipment Reliability Technician

STERISSeattle, WA
Remote

About The Position

Be the reason critical equipment works when it matters most. You like solving hands-on problems. You like being the calm in the moment when a hospital needs equipment back online—fast. As a Clinical Equipment Reliability Technician with STERIS, you’ll work remotely, directly supporting hospital teams across your California territory to keep STERIS and competitor equipment performing at its best. Your mission: Own the health of the equipment lifecycle: diagnose, repair, maintain, install, upgrade, and document—so clinicians can focus on patients. How you’ll make it happen: Perform core troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on equipment, systems, and components. Plan your day and manage your route to complete PMs, service and warranty calls, installs, and field upgrade programs with minimal oversight. Use advanced digital platforms to meet regulatory documentation requirements and to record and resolve technical issues. Partner with Tech Support, Engineering, and Service Contract Management for effective escalations and fast issue resolution. Explain findings clearly to customers, present repair options and pricing, and—with support from management—work alongside Sales to elevate customer experience and identify new opportunities. Provide service to multiple facilities within the assigned territory per customer agreements and priorities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and 4+ years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in a mechanical/technical role.
  • An associate degree, relevant certifications, competitive equipment training, or related military experience may be considered toward the technical requirement.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet background and physical assessment requirements to obtain and maintain vendor credentialing.
  • Proven customer engagement and collaborative team experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Foundational computer skills (Windows/email, navigation, mobile apps, and data entry in multiple systems).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional early/late shifts and overnights, based on customer and business needs.
  • Must be based in California.
