About The Position

The Clinical Engineering Technician I provides entry-level technical support for clinical, tissue processing, manufacturing, and cleanroom equipment, including support of steam boiler and RO/DI systems, by performing preventive maintenance, inspections, basic troubleshooting, and repairs. This role ensures safe, reliable, and compliant operation in accordance with regulatory, manufacturer, and organizational standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years of experience in clinical engineering, biomedical equipment support, laboratory equipment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related technical role, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience.
• Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Proficient computer skills for documentation, communication, and work order management.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Meet driver insurability standards as established by the organization’s insurer.

Responsibilities

• Provide entry-level technical support for clinical, tissue processing, manufacturing, and cleanroom equipment.
• Support steam boiler and RO/DI systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, basic troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation in accordance with regulatory, manufacturer, and organizational standards.
• Participate in on-call coverage as required (limited and contingent upon training completion, demonstrated competency, and staffing needs).
