This position is responsible for carrying out Medical Equipment Management Plan as directed by department manager. May advance to Clinical Engineering Technician II with demonstrated experience when there is a business need or an opening at the Clinical Engineering Technician II level. The Clinical Engineering Technician I is responsible for: Performing preventive and corrective maintenance as well as scheduled services and related technical activities with close supervision, on medical equipment Work closely with internal care departments to plan and coordinate projects related to key medical equipment. Maintain an electronic equipment inventory, parts inventory, and work order documentation System. Maintain equipment conditions assessment of major medical equipment. Communicate with customers regarding equipment status and proper operation of equipment. Works with and assist other technical staff to ensure consistency in operations. Solves practical problems and deals with situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schematic form. Responsible for customer satisfaction and problem resolutions and identifies areas for process improvement. Provide in-service training, presentations, and orientations for equipment.
