It implements, coordinates, inspects, and evaluates clinical education programs and curriculum.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Nursing.
  • 2 – 3 years of management and staff education experience.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English well.
  • Must possess good communication skills, interpersonal skills, and knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts new hire and annual clinical competencies.
  • Performs and documents competency checks for new clinical staff.
  • Present annual mandatory competencies to clinical staff to augment net learning.
  • Conduct chart audits to monitor compliance with regulatory and program standards.
  • Identifies the need for new competencies and utilizes the necessary resources to develop and implement.
  • Attends clinical departmental staff meetings as needed to provide educational updates.
  • Maintains professional and relationship building etiquette when handling customers, third party payers, hospitals, and other outside contracts.
  • Remains pleasant, polite, and efficient while handling difficult situations.
  • Accepts constructive feedback from supervisors and works to improve performance.
  • Exhibits pride in the job and with Muskingum Valley Health Centers’ mission and values.
  • Maintains the privacy of patient information and the security of all records.
  • Concentrates and works effectively despite distractions.
  • Adheres to all MVHC’s policies and procedures fully cooperating with the MVHC Compliance Program.
