Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an RN
• At least one year of experience as an RN within a long-term care setting
• A valid Iowa RN license

Nice To Haves

• Certified in one of more of the following or able to obtain within 6 months of hire: MHFA, CPR / BLS Instructor Certification
• Completed Wound Care Certification, IV Certification, Certified Dementia Practitioner or other identified areas of clinical competency
• Proficient in the use of learning development and delivery software (Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, etc.)
• Proficient use of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Design and Delivery of Clinical Education: Develop and facilitate clinical learning programs in both online and in-person formats. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and WesleyLife philosophies.
• Collaboration Across Teams: Work with Health Services, Clinical Excellence, and Organizational Learning to establish documentation and processes, secure classrooms and equipment, and create auditing and tracking systems for ongoing program success.
• Evaluation of Program Effectiveness: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for clinical training programs. Maintain and report on retention, completion, and other metrics to assess program impact.
• Defining Competencies: Identify essential competencies for licensed and certified clinical team members. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while building capabilities for quality care.
• Managing Training Plans: Develop onboarding and orientation practices that meet annual training requirements. Oversee clinical training programs.
• Supporting Internal Career Development: Identify career pathways and create aligned educational opportunities.
