About The Position

Develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education, and assessment of clinical staff. Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff. Develops, implements, and evaluates educational programs and utilizes methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals. Serves as a consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development. Participates in the coordination of orientation programs, preceptor development, annual skills assessments, and simulations. Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements

• Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience required.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire.
• RN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky required upon hire.
• BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 45 days of employment in this position.
