About The Position

The Clinical Education Coordinator (RN) is the organization-wide educator. This role involves maintaining competency and knowledge of current standards of practice, trends, and developments in requirements for acute care hospitals and all applicable facility-wide healthcare settings. The coordinator designs, develops, plans, and teaches educational programs for employed, contracted, affiliated, and volunteer individuals, among others. The educator has the authority and responsibility for supervising all orientation programs and has indirect supervisory responsibility for new employees when involved in educational programs or processes.

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license (single-state or compact) required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited professional Registered Nursing Program
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as a nurse educator preferred.
• Minimum Five (5) years nursing experience with clinical focus preferred.

Responsibilities
