About The Position

The Clinical Director is responsible for the operational, financial, and clinical leadership of the clinic while maintaining responsibilities as a licensed Physical Therapist. This role oversees clinic operations, team performance, patient outcomes, and business growth while partnering cross-functionally to support organizational objectives. The Clinical Director leads Physical Therapists, Clinic Coordinators, and support staff while ensuring operational efficiency, financial performance, and quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of California
  • Minimum 1-2 years of leadership or management experience
  • Experience managing teams, operations, and performance metrics
  • Strong understanding of clinic operations and financial performance

Responsibilities

  • Maintain responsibilities associated with direct patient care as a licensed Physical Therapist
  • Support clinical quality, consistency, and patient outcomes
  • Oversee onboarding and development of providers and clinic staff
  • Accountable for achieving clinic performance targets, including: Visit volume goals, Utilization metrics, EBITDA and financial performance targets, Patient satisfaction metrics, Employee engagement and retention metrics
  • Monitoring clinic performance and identifying operational gaps
  • Implementing corrective actions to improve performance
  • Driving accountability through clear expectations and measurable goals
  • Maintain ownership of clinic financial performance and P&L management
  • Analyze operational and financial reporting to support decision-making
  • Identify revenue growth opportunities and operational efficiencies
  • Manage labor utilization, expenses, and staffing needs
  • Support forecasting, workforce planning, and clinic scalability
  • Manage recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members and emerging leaders
  • Conduct performance management conversations and provide regular feedback
  • Support clinical education initiatives and student programs
  • Lead implementation of operational initiatives and process improvements
  • Support pilot programs and new workflows
  • Partner cross-functionally to improve clinic performance and patient access
  • Contribute to broader clinical leadership initiatives across locations
  • Build relationships with referral partners and community stakeholders
  • Participate in provider outreach and educational initiatives
  • Represent the organization within the local healthcare community
