About The Position

A well-established mental health organization is seeking a Clinical Director to lead and oversee their mental health services department. This is a leadership role — not a direct service role. You will be responsible for managing a team of 15–30 therapists, ensuring clinical compliance, and keeping operations running smoothly. If you are a licensed clinical social worker with a strong sense of leadership, practical judgment, and the ability to hold a team accountable while supporting their growth, this is the role for you.

Requirements

• LCSW or LCSW-R required
• Article 31 mental health clinic experience required
• Prior experience overseeing a mental health department
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Compliance-minded with practical, common-sense approach
• Team player who can lead with both authority and empathy

Responsibilities

• Oversee a department of 15–30 therapists across mental health services
• Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and performance management
• Foster a collaborative, team-oriented culture
• Ensure compliance with Article 31 mental health regulations and standards
• Oversee audits and ensure documentation and clinical practices meet requirements
• Identify and address gaps in compliance proactively
• Manage day-to-day departmental operations
• Work cross-functionally with leadership and administrative teams
• Ensure smooth, efficient delivery of services across the department
