About The Position
Sodexo is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join the WVU Medicine team, splitting time between Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson, WV (three days a week) and Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV (two days a week). This role offers order-writing privileges, allowing for practice at the top of the license while supporting various inpatient units across both hospitals. It is suitable for new graduates or experienced dietitians. The position offers flexible scheduling with hybrid coverage options to support work-life balance and make a meaningful difference in patient care.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in WV (or eligible)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Be a self-starter and a team player
- Ability to work well with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff
- Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
- For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
- Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
- Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units
- Practice at your full scope with order writing privileges
- Perform quality improvement initiatives
- Educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses
