The Clinical Dietitian in this role will be responsible for screening, assessing, prioritizing, and providing the nutrition care plan for patients and families, which may be specific to a disease entity but which also encompasses the entire continuum of care – hospital, clinic, and the community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • License Certified Dietitian (29) - State of Wisconsin within 180 Days required
  • RD-Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration within 90 Days required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively gather and share information with physicians; counsel and instruct families; participate in a multi-disciplinary team in provision of nutritional care; and provide effective coaching to team members.
  • Ability to independently assess patients and their conditions; interpret available data; and evaluate recommendations, outcomes, and patient/family comprehension.
  • Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children’s values and support our mission and vision.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in clinical nutrition and/or with a pediatric population preferred
  • Previous experience with an electronic medical record preferred

Responsibilities

  • Screening, assessing, prioritizing, and providing the nutrition care plan for patients and families.
  • Providing nutrition care across the continuum of care – hospital, clinic, and the community.
  • Working in specialties such as NEW Kids clinic, GI and/or diabetes, and other areas depending upon need.
  • Providing effective coaching to team members.
