About The Position

JAMHI Health & Wellness, Inc. is seeking a mission-driven and collaborative Clinical Crisis Lead to provide clinical and operational leadership for their in-house Behavioral Health Crisis Walk-In/Urgent Care program. This role requires an experienced behavioral health professional with strong clinical judgment, a passion for continuous improvement, and a commitment to person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented crisis care. The Clinical Crisis Lead will oversee daily program operations, develop effective workflows, support clinical decision-making, monitor service access and outcomes, and ensure crisis services meet JAMHI, CCBHC, and applicable Alaska requirements. Collaboration with crisis clinicians, Mobile Crisis, hospitals, emergency responders, and JAMHI’s broader care teams is essential for timely interventions, seamless transitions, and warm handoffs to ongoing care. The role involves providing clinical consultation, participating in direct crisis services when qualified, and leading and developing the crisis team through clear expectations, coaching, training, and feedback. Data, staff and client feedback, and community needs will be used to drive quality improvement and service development, alongside overseeing essential administrative responsibilities. The goal is to strengthen crisis services, reduce barriers to care, and ensure compassionate, responsive support for individuals in need.

Requirements

  • Licensed behavioral health clinician
  • Two (2) years of crisis-service experience
  • One (1) year of leadership/supervisory experience
  • Current required Alaska licensure, certification, registration, or other credentialing for any clinical duties performed.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check in accordance with current state regulation requirements.
  • Valid Alaska driver’s license.
  • Ability to clear the JAMHI auto insurance screening through the independent insurance carrier if driving.
