About The Position

LRADAC is hiring two temporary grant-funded Clinical Counselor positions to support the expansion of warm handoff programs and recovery services for individuals with substance use disorders (SUD) in Richland County. In partnership with the Richland County Sheriff’s department, this position will ride with law enforcement agents to increase access and address critical service gaps in high-need community settings. This dual-modality approach aims to promote early intervention, streamline referrals, and support long-term recovery by meeting individuals where they are. Staff will identify at-risk individuals, conduct brief assessments, provide referrals, and reduce barriers to care. Flexible scheduling may include weekends or variable hours, depending on law enforcement operations. These are grant-funded positions with an end date of August 30, 2026, with continuance contingent upon grant renewal.
