About The Position

The Clinical Coordinator supports the Director of Clinical Education, Program Director, and program faculty by coordinating clinical education experiences, recruiting and maintaining clinical training sites and preceptors, facilitating student clinical placements, coordinating student onboarding and credentialing, supporting program events and outreach activities, and assisting with general program administration as needed. The Clinical Coordinator serves as a liaison between the program and its clinical partners and assists in maintaining records and documentation required for ARC-PA accreditation compliance.

Requirements

  • Associates degree and three years of related experience, or a bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, maintain positive interpersonal relationships, and work independently
  • Ability to operate office equipment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple demands in fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Data entry and database management experience
  • Ability to travel locally and regionally for clinical site visits and recruitment activities

Responsibilities

  • Promote the mission of SNU to all faculty, staff, students, and the community
  • Comply with university and program policies and procedures
  • Assist the Director of Clinical Education with the coordination of student clinical placements and rotation logistics
  • Maintain clinical site, preceptor, and student records, databases, and documentation
  • Assist the Director of Clinical Education with affiliation agreements and clinical contracts
  • Assist students with clinical onboarding, credentialing, and compliance requirements, including immunizations, certifications, background checks, drug screenings, and other site-specific requirements
  • Coordinate submission of required student documentation to clinical sites and monitor compliance with clinical education requirements
  • Assist with management of clinical education software and compliance tracking systems
  • Coordinate communication between students, faculty, preceptors, and clinical sites
  • Assist with preparation of reports and documentation required for accreditation, assessment, and program evaluation.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and record meeting minutes as assigned.
  • Prepare lists, reports, forms, and documents as assigned by the Director of Clinical Education or Program Director
  • Assist with general administrative functions of the PA Program as needed
  • Support program operations and special projects as directed by the Director of Clinical Education or Program Director
  • Support the Director of Clinical Education in identifying, recruiting, and developing new clinical training sites and preceptors
  • Assist with establishment of, and maintaining relationships with healthcare organizations, hospitals, clinics, and community providers
  • Assist program faculty with the coordination of clinical site visits
  • Maintain records related to clinical site development and recruitment efforts
  • Coordinate preceptor onboarding activities
  • Assist with preceptor recognition and retention initiatives
  • Serve as a liaison between the program and clinical partners
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing program events, including interview days, orientation, white coat ceremonies, graduation activities, faculty retreats, open houses, and other program-sponsored events.
