Requirements

  • A willingness to work with diverse populations and a commitment to serving others
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, and Zoom, with a keen eye for detail
  • Self-motivation and independence, with regular check-ins
  • Strong verbal and communication skills, with a positive and supportive attitude
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously with enthusiasm and attention to detail
  • Effective task prioritization
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take on new challenges
  • Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with discretion
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, and Zoom.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrated ability to work as a team player.
  • Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions and produce assignments in a timely manner.
  • Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement. In addition, staff agree to live in agreement with PLNU’s Community Life Covenant.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone.
  • Work is primarily sedentary and may require sitting, standing, bending, or stooping for extended periods of time.
  • Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
  • Vision to read documents, e-mail and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor.
  • Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 10 pounds throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Support Academic Studies Office operations, including greeting visitors, responding to phone calls, and directing inquiries
  • Provide administrative support to senior staff, including document generation, organization, reporting, and handling special projects
  • Process financial transactions, including check and purchase order requests, expense reports, and account transfers
  • Support University and Academic Studies Office events, including planning, coordination, and execution
  • Respond to phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain office organization, including ordering supplies and ensuring a productive work environment
