The Department of Allied Health in the School of Health Sciences at the University of New Haven is seeking to hire a faculty member and Clinical Coordinator for the BS in Paramedicine Program (On-Ground) for August 2026. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the development, coordination, and maintenance of all clinical sites. They are also responsible for the scheduling of all students performing clinical rotations or field internships. All duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with the philosophy, vision, mission, policies, and procedures of the University of New Haven Paramedicine Program. Under the general supervision of the Program Director, and in addition to your teaching responsibilities as faculty, you will perform the following responsibilities: Clinical Site Administration: Develop, coordinate, and maintain clinical sites based on student and program needs; respond to clinical site issues involving students; and establish and maintain qualified preceptors at all clinical sites, including orientation and training. Student Clinical Coordination: Coordinate student clinical rotations and field internship experiences; ensure student compliance with OSHA and occupational health vaccination requirements; and maintain a professional, responsive relationship with students. Instructional Planning and Collaboration: Collaborate with the Program Director, Lead Instructor, and faculty to identify student learning needs and outcome measures; ensure appropriate levels of instruction and content; and align educational materials and methods with student needs. Clinical Education and Student Success: Provide educational training that supports clinical competence at the BLS and ALS levels and maintain a positive professional and educational environment that promotes student success. Student Evaluation and Feedback: Document, evaluate, and report student progress and performance through written evaluations and verbal or written feedback to the Lead Instructor, administrative staff, and students. Accreditation and Professional Practice: Participate in CoAEMSP accreditation activities, including staff and planning meetings, and maintain current knowledge of learning principles and clinical practice. Additional Program Support: Perform other assignments or tasks as requested by the Program Director, Assistant Program Director, or Lead Instructor.
