About The Position

The Clinical Program Coordinator will support daily clinical operations and provide direct patient care as needed. This role involves assisting with staff orientation, competency validation, and clinical education. The coordinator will collaborate with leadership to promote patient safety and operational excellence. Key areas of focus include coordinating the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program, preparing reports for various stakeholders, and maintaining continuous compliance with CMS Conditions for Coverage, OSHA, HIPAA, accreditation standards, and organizational policies. The role also serves as the facility's Infection Prevention Coordinator and is responsible for provider credentialing and recredentialing activities. Additionally, the coordinator will partner with Human Resources to support onboarding and ongoing regulatory compliance, coordinate required certifications and education programs, and provide guidance on quality improvement, infection prevention, regulatory compliance, and patient safety initiatives. Participation in committees and other assigned duties are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • ACLS and PALS required or obtained within organizational guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Ambulatory surgery or healthcare quality experience preferred.
  • Experience in quality management, infection prevention, regulatory compliance, or risk management preferred.
  • Certification in Infection Prevention (CIC) or Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), or willingness to obtain, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with accreditation surveys, regulatory inspections, policy review, and survey readiness activities.
  • Serve as the facility's Infection Prevention Coordinator.
  • Coordinate provider credentialing and recredentialing activities.
  • Partner with Human Resources to support onboarding and ongoing regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate required certifications and annual education programs.
  • Provide guidance on quality improvement, infection prevention, regulatory compliance, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Participate in committees and perform other duties as assigned.
