About The Position

We’re seeking an Advisory Consultant with a licensed clinical background and deep expertise in Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and Autism services to guide our clients through successful technology adoption and optimization. In this role, you’ll serve as both a clinical leader and technology strategist, partnering with IDD/Autism providers across the human services market to improve workflows, ensure regulatory alignment, and enhance provider and individual outcomes. You’ll work across the full client lifecycle, from pre‑sales and solution design to go‑live and ongoing optimization, translating complex IDD/Autism program needs into effective, person‑centered technology solutions. Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in nursing, psychology, social work, behavior analytics, or another human services field with clinical or professional certification
  • 5+ years of experience in IDD/Autism service delivery within: HCBS waiver programs, Autism treatment centers, Day or residential habilitation programs, Behavioral support services
  • Strong knowledge of IDD documentation, person-centered planning, behavior plans, and outcome tracking
  • Recent experience working with EHR systems or clinical informatics
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills

  • Experience working with Netsmart products
  • Experience implementing or optimizing EHR workflows
  • Experience designing or optimizing IDD/Autism workflows within clinical systems
  • Strong background in executive-level public speaking, including but not limited to strategic planning and change management

Responsibilities

  • Serve as one of Netsmart’s clinical authorities on IDD and Autism service delivery, including behavior support, habilitation, employment supports, residential programs, day services, and family/caregiver supports
  • Provide subject matter expertise on HCBS waiver structures, ISP processes, habilitation documentation, assessments, and state specific compliance
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory, accreditation, and funding changes impacting IDD/Autism services
  • Learn Netsmart solutions and serve as a translator between our clients' current and future-state work practices utilizing Netsmart solutions
  • Provide clinical guidance and support for the lifecycle of the client relationship, including the pre-sales process, clinically informed implementation, go-live, and maintenance, driving clinical success for Netsmart and our client partners
  • Partner with Solution Architects, Clinical Advisors, and product teams to ensure workflows reflect true industry best practice and compliance expectations.
  • Coach others to clearly articulate and promote Netsmart’s competitive advantages during client-facing solution discussions
  • Maintain an appropriate knowledge base for industries served to facilitate ongoing product development and product offerings to market
  • Maintain clinical executive relationships within the Netsmart client base
