About The Position

Cottage Medical Group seeks a Clinical Concierge (Medical Assistant) for their Pediatric Multispecialty Clinic. This role is responsible for the entire patient experience, from registration and payment collection to assisting providers and staff with care, discharging patients, and follow-up. The Clinical Concierge acts as a patient advocate, ensuring clinical excellence, reducing treatment times, and maximizing patient satisfaction. This position involves both front and back-office duties in outpatient patient management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years of equivalent work experience
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers certification
  • Knowledge of urgent care medical specialty
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of electronic medical record, preferably Epic
  • Basic computer/email skills
  • 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant or equivalent
  • Previous experience with an electronic health record
  • Previous experience with phlebotomy

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections
  • Urgent care experience

  • Companion patients and their "secondary guests" through the entire experience to maximize clinical excellence, reduce treatment times, and maximize the patient experience; before, during, and after the patient visit.
  • Assist the provider with front office and back-office duties in the outpatient management of patients on a rotating basis.
  • Perform a variety of clinical functions within a clinical setting requiring knowledge and integration of available standard, resources, and data; discretion; good judgment; diplomacy; decision making; and a customer service attitude.
  • Act as the patient advocate, having continuous contact with providers, patients, patient families/significant others, community agencies, and patient care staff and management.
