About The Position

To coordinate and facilitate patient care through the Valley Hospital Health Care System using a multidisciplinary approach to patient progression, discharge planning, and utilization of resources. This per-diem day-shift position is located at The Valley Hospital in Paramus.

Requirements

Master’s degree in social work from an accredited program.
New Jersey social work license required; MSW and LSW or LCSW required.
Minimum of three years of experience as a social worker.
Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to move between tasks efficiently.
Ability to function competently in stressful situations and a changing work environment.
Ability to work cooperatively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
Effective time management, including setting priorities and responding quickly to emergency situations.
Critical-thinking and clinical-reasoning skills for problem-solving and case management.

Nice To Haves

LCSW strongly preferred.
